It seems that any Quark file saved in desktop folders won’t open directly. I get the message ‘You’ll need a new app to open this. Look for an app in Store’ Normally I just double click on the file and Quark opens up and the file is downloaded. What I have found is that if I copy and paste the file from the relevant Quark file from the desktop folder into my ‘Quark jobs’ folder. I recently had a large update from Windows and wonder if something has messed up the operating system although it only seems to have affected Quark work assuming that is the problem.

Will have no idea how to correct it if so. Can you restore the file associations of qxp files with QuarkXPress? Can you save and open out of QuarkXPress to you desktop folder?
